It's a hell of a risk building a fab for memory these days. Remember how Intel left the memory business back in the 80's because Japan was quickly commoditizing the market? Intel moved to CPUs and never regretted the decision.

It was the basis for Andy Grove's "Only the Paranoid Survive" slogan and the whole notion of industry "inflection points."

Fast-forward to today. Now we're bringing memory manufacturing back to America. What a world we live in these days.
