I may have come out with a good idea to cure the need to fly. Everyone should have to watch a season of this series before they get on a jet. I know it as Mayday but it is also sometimes called Air Crash Investigation.

I came across it by accident on a local station and was surprising to discover that it is quite fascinating, basically real life detective stories as the investigators from around the world try to figure out what happened and prevent it from happening again. They use a mixture of archival tape, interviews with survivors and investigators, and filmed simulations.

I just noticed there are 232 episodes. No shortage of material, I guess...

BTW, some of the episodes are actually good news stories, like the famous Gimli Glider and the plane that landed in the Hudson River after hitting a flock of birds.
