I think so. FORE should merge with someone to challange CSCO. otherwise, it's very difficulty to get big deal. Because a lot of
large companies like to purchase total solution from a bigger company.
Because the decision maker of those companies worry about future of
those small companies. They perfer to go with the big companies
even if their price is higher and product is not as good as small
company.

Walter, re bull-headed...

I was very concerned several years back when FORE chose to build a HQ palace North of Pittsburgh, PA. I thought that focusing on architecture was going to rob the founders of competitive juices. I may have been right. Unfortunately, I was not adept enough to profit from it.

But today, with FMR on board and others along for the ride, I am not sure that an aggressive buyout would be easily spurned. Something about fiduciary duties comes to mind. On the third hand, CAs luke-warm flattery of CSC illustrates the distaste the tech sector shows for hostility. So who calls the shots? The institutional holders hoping for a fast premium? Or founders/insiders uneager to surrender the throne?

Anybody familiar with the board composition?
