Yeah, this is not a "few years" process -- no matter what anyone says. Musk sure isn't saying it. Keeping in mind, his concern is emissions.

I do think a lot of solar will what needs to be done but there will have to be some reservoirs available (or lots of big Lithium batteries) to store the energy for off-hours use. What really bugs me is no one seems to be doing much with those.

The sensible solution is a few modern nuclear plants but I cannot even begin to imagine getting the necessary approvals lol.

I'm sure they'll get that rolling. None of them can sell cars without the juice to run them.
