I rarely play gold and when I do silver, it's usually a quick in and out on PSLV. I don't like mining stocks. Soon as prices climb, they get bloated and little trickles down to shareholders.
I'm fascinated with commodities but it's so complicated and you can't just focus on the USA. Wheat was skyrocketing tonight because Russia was closing the Ukrainian corridor but then I read Turkey and a couple other countries said they could export through them so I don't know if it came back down or not. Brazil and some other ag areas are tough to get reliable news from. I think the fertilizer issues are going to make things interesting the next few years. Weather changes like the weather. LOL.
We had one of the worst droughts this summer I can recall but I hear up north it wasn't too bad. Of course now that the growing season is over, it's been raining off and on all week and it's pouring as I write this. It poured all spring and no one could get seed in the ground. Then it just stopped raining for months. Our lake is so low, grass is growing in spots that are usually 30 feet deep or more. I didn't take the boat out at all fearing I'd hit a tree stump or sand bar.
Of course now that I'm trying to get started on my construction project, it's been raining cats and dogs.
The corn mazes were a joke this year. You could see over the top of the fields.
