In the ambulance to the hospital, Paul Pelosi told police he had never seen DePape before, the complaint said. And Jenkins said Sunday, “We have nothing to suggest that these two men knew each other prior to this incident,” a statement contradicting vulgar unsupported suggestions on social media. DePape told investigators he didn’t leave even though he knew Paul Pelosi had called 911 because “much like the American founding fathers with the British, he was fighting against tyranny without the option of surrender,” the affidavit said.

And the police stood there and watched Pelosi get clonked on the head? If this were a normal situation, I’d expect DePape to have been riddled with bullets after committing a potentially fatal assault.

Since they deny there was a third person, the only person inside with a free hand was Pelosi. DePape was in denial about the seriousness of what he was doing. Delusional. Sounds like the clonking happened too fast for police to react. At this point, it seems to me the Pelosi side of it is not so strange. He was trying not to panic to keep the guy calmed down. But I'll bet you he wasn't fully dressed. Who gets up at 2:30 in the morning and dresses to see what the hell is causing a racket downstairs? The police need to stop changing their story. Those reports didn't come out of thin air.
