I just looked up a little history on Intel's guidance and here it is:

non-GAAP Guidance for Qtr of:

1Q21: $17.5B
2Q21: $17.8B
3Q21: $18.2B
4Q21: $18.3B
1Q22: $18.3B
2Q22: $18.0B
3Q22: $15-16B (This guide from Q2 report, and Q2 had the huge miss, 15.3B instead of 18B guided!)
4Q22: $14-15B (From Q3 report, where 15.3B was below the midpoint of the Q3 guide!)

So the pattern is they gave guidance to the 0.1B precision, but no range bracket +/-, UNTIL the disaster in Q2 where they missed by 2.7B, then they have now guided with a $1B spread for two qtrs.
