Vinnie, Voop, Ryhach, re: iPhone modems.

Yes, confusing, however I thought we hashed this out several months ago with the consensus that this year (fy22) QCOM was only guiding to 20% iPhone share. Thus, when it became known that the iPhone 14 released 9/7/22 contained a QCOM modem, QCOM picked up the full enchilada....positive impact to FY22 guidance for the 2 to 3 quarters preceeding the launch. .

In the back of my mind why would Akash be giving guidance for fy23 in Nov of 2021?. But from the full context of Vinnie’s post--- Akash does mention the SAM / revenue between 2021 and 2024.

“....Our forecast for revenue is that it will grow at least in line with total SAM. And the assumption we use for this forecast is that for Apple 2023 launch, our share is down to 20%. This is a planning assumption for the forecast purposes....

"It could have been made clearer if stated- “..for the iPhones launched in 2023”, rather the just the “...Apple 2023 launch...”

And then, in the automotive industry 2023 models are released in Sept 2022???

I guess will find out tomorrow????
