A quick thanks to Vepoc and WBendus for their contributions in making this thread one of the best on SI.

Somebody on the Yahoo message board has been posting speculation about Soros buying big blocks of the stock. Today they posted that Dean Witter confirmed these trades. Does anyone have an account with Dean Witter or a contact that can confirm this. The Yahoo boards are full of hype and rumors, so I'd like to get a second opinion.

Can't really see it being true because I think the stock would have spiked when the news hit the street - also something that CNBC would probably mention.

Thanks in advance.

Vepoc, vendors are bringing QoS to Ethernet anyway, so ATM won't be the only choice for big multimedia apps:

techweb.cmp.com

This mentions BAY's effort to bring QoS to its Ethernet products so they can access data already traveling over ATM backbones.
