Wharfie, I mentioned this before, and I'll say it again.

Even after 9/11, how much attention was brought onto "America's addiction to oil"? A lot. Remember that? How come we don't hear that phrase anymore?

Even when Big Auto was bailed out, the execs (after having been caught flying in private jets) specifically drove hybrid cars to Washington in order to demonstrate their commitment to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

12 years later, and the Big Three are STILL selling more SUV and light trucks than they should be.

It took the rise of Tesla before anyone thought fully-electric vehicles could ever be viable. (And yet Elon Musk is now a pariah of you leftists.)

Bottom line is that libtards ALWAYS claim that we "never really tried" what they proposed.

"But but we never really TRIED socialism!"

"But but we never really TRIED to reduce our dependence on foreign oil!"

"But but we never really TRIED negotiating with repressive regimes like Iran!"

Yes. We. Have.

And they all ended up in miserable failures.

That's why you are left with nothing but your usual snark.
