Thanks Josef, For the info. I hope you were snapping pictures with Kodak film. Have you had a chance to catch a commercial during the olympics for Kodak's marketing campaign. My take was the commercial are probably moderately effective. It was interesting to see that singer Cindy Lauper had a song for a American company called "Healthy Choice" I believe the song was "time after time". I found this interesting because Kodak used Lauper's song "true colors" during past olympics and was very successful. My thought was that they should have stayed with what has worked in the past. Could have been sung in different languages. That sort of thing. Anyway, I believe we may have hit a peak in Kodak's stock price for the time being. I can't imagine it going higher without seeing earnings confirmations. That may be hard to come by. Here's some encouraging news. If you can't beat them buy them. Thursday February 12, 3:42 am Eastern Time Kodak to buy stake in Internet competitor-WSJ NEW YORK, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Eastman Kodak Co (EK - news) has agreed to purchase a majority stake in its biggest on-line competitor, the Wall Street Journal said Thursday in its electronic edition. Kodak plans to announce Thursday an agreement to acquire a 51 percent stake in closely held PictureVision Inc of Herndon,Va, the Journal said, citing Carl Gustin, Kodak's chief marketing officer. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. The Journal said the move is intended to energise Kodak's Internet-based Photography business. Both Kodak and PictureVision offer services that allow consumers to store and send their pictures through the Internet. PictureVision has revenue of under $10 million, according to the Journal. The purchase indicates Kodak's determination to build up a significant Intenet-based business, the newspaper said.
