Worked at Snow Lake, Manitoba, one year. Mining town. Stall Lake mine, etc. were being mined. High grade mineralization. Fished on Wekusko Lake. Big lake, big fish. Lots of base metals. Still am fascinated by fact that we used to take a canoe out to a schist hogback and chisel out chunks of the soft rock. They were filled with thousands of garnets. Some very big garnets. Must have been the wrong kind for diamond indicators because all the locals know about them and they'd have been tested right away. Snow Lake/Wekusko Lake is around the half way point between The Pas and Thompson, if I remember correctly.
