Got my copy of Individual Investor in the mail today. AOL was in the "Ringside" section, where a bull and a bear both write columns. Interesting reading.

Also found out a bit more about AOL's product development costs. According to the bull in II, AOL expenses product development staff salaries as part of cost of revenues. So, not all of this cost is capitalized. But the last 10-Q did indicate the percentage being capitalized is increasing. Not that I have any idea exactly what it is that they are capitalizing. Anyone have any thoughts on that.

Finally, regarding Case indicating AOLers spend most of their time on AOL, and not the net. One is chat is a major portion of this. Of course, you can be netting and chatting at the same time. I don't know how they account for this. Two is parental controls. Basically, if you set up the parental controls for kids 12 and younger, they have no access to anywhere on AOL except for the kids channel, and no access to the web. Just thought I'd fill the non-AOL subscribers in.
