This is exactly true. The U.S. and the EU, with a few exceptions, like Japan (I think) - are alone in their stance of being 100% pro-Ukraine - with zero questions.

The war itself was by no means irrational - or unexpected. I think we all saw videos of Lindsay Whatshisname and John McCain from back in 2017, talking to a group of Ukrainians, promising them an abundant supply of weapons, military and political help - and expressing total confidence that they would be victorious.

Where, BTW, are the Republicans with opposing views? Why are they silent? Do they even exist?

Not long ago some 30 “squad” members and other woke members of Congress made a big splash - wrote a letter to Biden about starting the diplomatic process and ending the war. When they received a pushback, they quickly withdrew the latter. BUT — the “splash” remained. The whole country - and the whole world - could see that liberal Dems want peace.

Isn’t it funny that this happened a short time before the elections?

We have been fed recent stories about Biden encouraging Ukraine to negotiate. We all knew about Jake Sullivan conducting “shuttle diplomacy” trying to end the war. Also, curiously, this came out right before the elections.

And where are the vocal Republicans, speaking out for peace?? Writing letters to the Administration protesting against bringing the US to the brink of a nuclear disaster? Where are the protests against the forthcoming “coalition of the willing” - intended to enter the fighting??

I think all that contributed to the fact that the big red wave ended up being more like a ripple.

This war started on a Dem watch, who refused to come to an understanding with Russia - and it was supported by them. It’s their fault. But, thanks to a few warmongers, the Republicans own it just as much as the Dems. It was the wrong time to have voted “absent”.

Is it true that we are the stupid party?
