Memory related companies will keep slow growth in this year. I am not bearish on these companies. I agree with you that IDTI is a stock good for short term trading. If you want to take a short position, you'd better watch it tightly. I am very bullish on those flash memory related companies, such as SMOD, SNDK, and FLSHF. According to Semico Research Corp., revenue for the Flash Memory market is expected to experience double-digit growth through the year 2000. Specifically, the demand for 3V Flash Memory is expected to increase 32%, 41% and 30% for the years 1998, 1999 and 2000, respectively. Ronald Smith, vice president of the Intel division that includes the flash memory operation, predicts that the small, portable electronic toys of the future will routinely use chip-based substitutes for hard disk memory. The tiny memory cards will go in cameras, personal organizers, pagers, set-top boxes and who knows what else. These cards will use lots and lots of flash memory. That way you can pull a card out of, say, a camera, then stuff it into a slot on a PC.

Fugazi--the last time IDTI was up in the 15 range, everyone on
this thread was a roaring bull. Now, most are looking to take
profits and buy back at lower prices. That tells me this puppy
is going higher. I think you are ignoring the volume. 12 million
shares over a two day period is quite impressive. By the way, I
sold my position at 15.25 on 5/27/97 based upon Michael Murphy's
newsletter saying that INTC would sue IDTI and it would go back
to 10-11. While Murphy was wrong (as he usually is), the stock did
go down so I got back in at around 9 on the last trading day of
1997. Tomorrow might be the big breakout we have all been waiting
for--out of the huge 3 yr 9-15 base; or this might be just another
big tease and the stock will puke on itself once again. Take you
choice. PD

Fugazi,

Don't listen to the longs, keep shorting. It's like double down....you gotta be right someday. Short 20,000 tomorrow on the open. I feel real good about that.
