Bill,

The problem with your assessment is that earnings have already been factored in as being flat for this quarter. People are looking at expectations for the rest of 1998 and beyond.

And since you so skillfully evaded my dare, I will reiterate:

Are you going to hold that short position for 4 weeks or not?? Come on now... stick to your guns. You think it is a sucker's rally and I believe that we are just consolidating for the next move higher.

I'm holding my long position for all of 1998. I don't need the tax consequences of trading around my core position.

So let me ask you... Do you feel lucky?? <wink>

Regards,

Ron

Delay? What delay? The rules say that Q earnings must be reported by the 15th, unless the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case report must be issued on the next trading day - in this case, Tuesday the 17th. {Monday is a holiday, remember?]
The reason it is not early is because management is on the road doing presentations and making deals.

The earnings report is a non-event anyway. Will probably show a loss for the Q.
It's the information in the conference call which will bring the buyers.

You'll do well to get that short covered before 10:15 on Tuesday.
