"It's the economy, stupid." The Abortion issue hurt a bit, but the economy should have been the main issue. But with all the election deniers out there, questioning the foundation of the System, that became a strong cross-current. I am shocked that the RNC has given Trump so much power since he lost reelection. That was a big mistake and will continue to be a big mistake moving forward if they don't push him out. Desantis is a rising star that can win nationally unless Trump trashes him big time and takes away some of his support in the primary. Bottom line: Trump is no longer an asset to the conservative cause, if that's what you are primarily interested in.
