The Republicans have chosen to align themselves for many years now with single issue evangelical voters so they appoint judges who are pro life. Accept the consequences of your choices. Still, the party needs to confront the real reason for the lackluster showing: Donald Trump and the election deniers he promotes.

Everybody knows that if you put a hardcore conservative against a hardcore liberal, the hardcore conservative will win the vast majority of the time in the USA. Only fringe left wing lunatics support AOC and her crowd. But this was not your typical election. You have Donald Trump and his election deniers creating massive divisions and hostilities and people who are independent and centrist were put in a position to vote Dem. That's how the Dems won the two Georgia run off elections a couple of years ago..
