Like Roe? Yeah, it had lasting value, until it didn't. So now, the kids know they need to elect pro-choice pols, all the way down the ballot, and the Dems should know that they must put abortion on the ballot in all the states in '24, cuz "you can reverse a determination made by the Supreme Court."

Roe is a symbol, not a meaningful thing.

Has it had a devastating effect on anyone? No. No women have died from back-alley abortions. Anyone who really wanted an abortion could still get it. No women in Texas are dying because they can't get needed services (contrary to Beto's advertising).

And some people have figured out if they screw indiscriminately without protection they may have a headache to deal with. Well, I've got news. That was happening before the Supreme Court acted, as well.

It is argued that the number of abortions declined by about 10%, which is a good thing. At the same time, some states have had a 10% increase in abortions due to nearby states curtailments. As expected.

Ultimately, the number of abortions will drop because women realize they need to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy. That is responsibility.
