OK, so Trump got the 3rd highest percent of Latino voters among Republicans who were elected President. That’s still pretty good.

The point of my remark was that Trump did well among regular people of all races and walks of life. THEY elected him.

But - Few of Trump voters were the kind of people who could serve as members of the cabinet - or take charge and run the enormous government machinery. He had to look for such people among those who didn’t vote for him and didn’t like him. Many of them, I’m sure, were professional enough to do their jobs - but still, the president had very little support among the government apparatchiks. Many did whatever they could to undermine him and his policies.

I suspect that if he’s elected in 2024, he may still have the same problem.

DeSantis got 57% of the Hispanics in Florida. Many are Cubans and they have seen socialism up close and personal.

You are kind of ignoring the 29% to 35% jump from 2016 to 2020. If the election had not been stolen Im sure the trend would have continued. The 2016 number is not surprising given that Trump was largely an unknown quantity

In 2020 election President Donald Trump received the most votes in the history of this country. Mostly because he was a human being not a politician. He got more votes than Desantis, Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln, John F Kennedy and so on. Those Hispanics votes are skewed because of that, and I would argue if it wasn't for Trump, Desantis wouldn't have come near those numbers and would have lost his election to a crack addict.

Once Donald Trump decides to step away so will the Silent Majority votes. That will be the end of this chapter in American History.
