Mike, first off, your Zack numbers are just not accurate according to First Call. The 1998 consensus is .01 versus your .14. The 1999 consensus from first call ranges is .11.

Secondly, comparing valuations of any company with MSFT is silly, as MSFT is a true global monopoly.

Thirdly, I too traded NSCP based on technicals, however, this was when fundamentals were improving. That has now changed. When a growth company fails to grow, i.e. bad Q, and bad short term outlook, this data is in fact vital to valuations.

Fourthly, I never said NSCP has failed. I have said it is over valued based on the fundamentals and the fundamental outlook.

NSCP's stock price will only explode when a material and positive fundamental change occurs. Until then, the stock will revalue to reasonable levels, which in this case is the 1 billion market cap range, or $8-10. The takeover speculation might keep it the the low teens.
