April 23, 2020 100+ mph speeding tickets have nearly doubled in California under stay-at-home policy

> leftists

I'm a libertarian, since the 1970s. We are people who are against victimless crime laws but tough on crime.

I think EVERYONE who is convicted of a crime should do TIME or Community service. End fines.

I'm on the freeways every day. Nobody obeys the laws. It's particularly bad in wealthy neighborhoods I work in all the time.

The REASON for this is the rich aren't punished. Tickets mean nothing to them. Recently I was passed by 3 idiots racing exotic sports cars at 100 mph on a two lane curving road that families and ordinary people drive. In general the freeways are total anarchy for a reason. The rich aren't punished.

Traffic deaths in California surged by 10.7% in 2021 relative to 2020, mirroring a grim upward trend observed nationwide,

California traffic deaths spiked for second year in a row in 2021

Newly Released Estimates Show Traffic Fatalities Reached a 16-Year High in 2021

So you folks are telling me that people getting crushed and burned to death in traffic accidents caused by rich people driving unsafely isn't a biggie compared to shoplifters?

> homeless

I personally knew the guy who the downtown Homeless Shelter, and I've know many people who've been homeless. Very few of them are criminals. Most are victims our our economy or bad luck or they just aren't smart enough to make enough to pay for food and shelter.

> Housing

I'm a building contractor. Not many of US left. Too easy to make money gambling, speculating, without lifting a finger or contributing anything to our economy.
