It brought out women in huge record numbers. Everywhere where the abortion issue was put for voters to decide, it LOST and LOST BIG, even in bloody red states like Kentucky, Kansas and Montana. Abortion is huge, but poll after poll showed that it wasn't the top issue on most people's minds. I agree, but polls also showed Republicans leading and they were wrong. Consider that the polls also put abortion near the bottom of the list, which never made sense to me. Perhaps they weren’t catching the university vote, or whatever, I don’t know. Something as simple as over correction for the land line problem could have affected it. I don’t think there is anything in the polling data that will identify the issue with any certainty though. I have no doubt DeSantis is capable of winning and I would have no hesitation about voting for him. There will be no skeletons in that closet.
