Yes, you’re absolutely right. Roughly half of humans don’t even make it to the age of 80. And yes, sooner or later everyone gets old and sick. And the rate at which all this happens is not really predictable.

I would be in favor of age limits. And term limits would also be a good idea. Spending some 8-12 years max in Congress should be enough.
