I didn't, & don't like Balmer, but we have to be professional about these things when it comes to money. The guy was & is right. I agree :-)

So yes, we have a gamble on our hands, I like to know when things are stacked in a certain direction.

Chemistry (for example) is a subject where there are a bunch of rules BUT there are always exceptions. It's important to note where the exceptions are and why, the key to that particular branch of science. I had a good Chemistry teacher at school. Physics was more my thing but the unusual aspects of Chemistry plus the scientific nature of it held a fascination for me. It was like reading a really good detective novel.

So the rule is (for me) ... There is only one crypto, BTC but, the financial science is new and there may be exceptions. Fact is BTC has to develop to have utility, and there maybe are other, and even better paths. I have a little understanding how the Enterprise level tech works, it is a professional environment.

There are other horses in the race, some are dark horses with much longer odds of winning. Horse racing bookies make most of their money from punters betting on the favourite, and favourites, all though they win more than other selections, do not win anywhere as often as they should.... going by the odds. There are some professional gamblers out there, somewhere in tenths of a percent in the population distribution, who actually make money betting on the horses. If you work for the bookies, usually guys and guyettes who have a particular religious faith, you might have the pleasure of meeting some of those guys face to face. Working for the bookies was so much fun before the invention of calculators, computers and TV sets. You had to use your brain a lot, and develop a good relationship with the customer. A sense of humour had to be developed, even if it was a darker type of humour. Fact is you worked hard for the skilled service provided, and that what it's all about.

Some time down the road I am going to be looking at nodes. It's just an ambition for now.

SBF could have easily remained a Billionaire and became ever wealthier with minimal effort. Didn't even have to try hard. I suspect the demands put upon him were too much though and he blew it. It can happen to anyone.

Thus, even when one doesn't like particular personalities, if they are right, they are right -g-
