<<so now online buys are on a few cards with very low limits>>

In the UK credit cards are best.

Crypto does have its issues. There is the new technology & encryption challenge, the people in places of trust not being honest challenge, and events outside of our control like CME's (Corona Mass Discharges).

I am not exactly sure if a CME will break a PC inside of a metal case (Faraday Cage). The electric supply cable will undoubtably experience huge spikes in voltage and current, even melt the power distribution lines and power stations / transformers but memory devices inside the PC or Server may still survive. Someone should look into that, if they haven't already.

A number of cold wallets are kept in paper form. When I pulled off nearly all my funds off the exchanges, there were some delays, but actually that might well of been OK if the funds had to fetched from such sources. There were a number of people doing the same thing as there was an earlier scare a few months back.

In the post above I note the Google Cloud issue.

Crypto is well suited to dealing with the people issue. That has to be demonstrated though.

New tech is a challenge. Should keep us all on our toe's security wise. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Trust is a process. Not everyone can be expected to climb onboard at the same time, and who knows, crypto currencies may not pan out.

I do have a plan B.
