If I remember correctly, but we are talking a long time ago, all this stuff about crypto exchanges going bust equally applies to stock exchanges too during times of turmoil. The advice was of "getting the stock certificates out of the brokers, and into your hands" because if the broker goes belly up, your investments just go into the BK pool and the retail investor is at the back of the queue when it comes to claims. Just saying. OK so there has been a bull market since 2008 when nothing got fixed and there were free mega $$$$ hand outs to all the bust banksters. To me it just means there is a long way down from where we are today. Printing our way out is an equal financial risk to all those you pose about the "crypto ice age" to the average person.
