Global Britain? A phrase unfamiliar to me. Google helpfully showed me a page referring to various articles and stuff from 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 but nothing since. Guess Global Britain fizzled out. I found some writing such as
"We need to use government assets more cohesively and efficiently to maintain our global standing. Global Britain is about reinvesting in our relationships, championing the rules-based international order and demonstrating that the UK is open, outward-looking and confident on the world stage."

I think that means blah blah blah, something about Britain doing something and looking outward, probably via BBC news, rather than watching CCTV showing the local yokels shanking, shitting, spewing, swearing, dogging, boozing, fighting, robbing, burning and looting. They didn't mention Virtuous Victorian Values anywhere regarding Global Britain.

I dunno what "the rules-based international order" means. Maybe Google has a schedule of said rules-based rules. But I suspect it's rule by making up rules as required from time to time, depending on what rule is wanted. So it's a rules-based fair-enough invasion of sovereign Syria in a war of choice by USA, but a criminal genocidal illegal war of choice by Russia in Ukraine and Crimea despite Syria being far away around the world from USA and distinctly unAmerican, whereas Crimea/Donbas are distinctly Russian, speak Russian, were and are part of Russia, and are definitely unAmerican and far far away from USA.

I doubt that aircraft carriers are much use these days. If one of the rules-based aircraft carriers went to Hong Kong, I can't imagine what they'd do that's useful.

"Look everyone, we've got an aircraft carrier." They could fly fighter jets around and make a lot of noise, but that seems pointless. Probably best to simply ignore them and wait for them to realize how impolite they are being.

I'd prefer VVVs to aircraft carriers or rules-based international order or Global Britain. Simply adopt VVV and call it a day. No need for the outward-looking championing of reinvestment or efficiently cohesive confidence to maintain standing on the world stage for government assets which surely means something or other.
