Ray,

What is your major criteria on your scans? Stochasics? DMI? RSI?

I do scans using mostly stochastics and DMI....this way I can find stocks that hopefully have bottomed and are ready to pop. DMI is a great indicator for finding stocks ready to go.

Yes, I beleive SMTL is shaky relative to the Asian Crisis but it does have a great solvent cleaning system for photoresist removal. With the transition of some of the DRAM fabs over to Logic or ASIC production (point made and to ponder from the AMAT Conference Call) that have more interlevel dielectric and metallization, there will be a need for more solvent type cleaners. This is not their only business but it could be something to consider along with the rest of the data available.
