I'm bearish but I think I'd be buying anywhere close to 3000. Recall my long term trends earlier this year that pointed to us supposed to be around 3700. Allow for the overshoot to the upside and guitar string theory that we should deflect to the opposite side and you could be right though.

So far this year, earnings without oil stocks are down about 4% and we haven't even started the recession yet or felt the effects of the rate hikes, higher wage pressure etc.
I also think companies are going to dilute shares by doing secondaries to raise cash instead of rolling bonds and having to pay higher rates. That will drop EPS too.
