Afaik, ballot harvesting is a matter of state laws. Anything that opens any possibilities of abuse and manipulations - including harvesting, elections machines that can be mysteriously accessed through the internet, and other such things - should be avoided. But, in locations where those ballot boxes and harvesting are legal - use them. How are you going to change anything unless you win? Why give the other side an easy advantage? So, while I sympathize with your friends, it’s important to be oriented towards victory. It’s true that for most voters all those investigations are simply not as important as they are to political junkies.
