Ref: Skilling.
My criticism of Skilling, and senior executives like him, is that they play too much on the Darwinian attitude to business. This is demonstrated and explained in the video I posted by "Cold Fusion", who seem to have some good videos.

I have had the pleasure of working for a number of senior executives and CEO's who really knew how to make a successful & keen competitive business. Co-operation, training, education, trust and team building are importance aspects besides the "darwinian" aspect of running a business. Skilling does not seem to have a clue. Likewise Ken Lay's problem was that he was also way out of his depth as a businessman. There are other aspects to a business apart from making money.

I hasten to add, all these people I worked for were in the USA, not the UK. Good managers in the UK seem to have gone extinct for a while now.

Plants and trees compete and co operate seemingly, they may have lots to teach us. As mentioned to Haim, I am interesting in buying these books.

The UK new pm just had a whizz idea to introduce something call "CBDC's". Sound marvellous <s>, will have to see how that one pans out.
