chirodoc:

One thing I do not understand is when these guys state something like:
"Published earnings tables report that the year-ago figure was a loss of 5 cents, but First Call reports a year-ago profit of 22 cents.

Exactly what profit they are talking about?! Didnt IFMX restated their earnings to a loss and got punished harshly for doing so?! It seems these guys are putting a negative spin on the results already by comparing this years "honest the god real" earnings with last years "Phil White's sense of humor with share holders"!

It is always amazing how news can be twisted and stated by these news organizations.

Addi Jamshidi

I hope everyone can contain themselves. I am going to speculate that we will see 8+ at the opening, but don't be surprised if it goes down from there. (For the record, I've owned shares for over a year) This stock has left most peoples radar screen and coming back in is going to take time and convincing. We'll see some high volitility as the traders play around with it, and in my opinion, probably settle in around 9-10 in a few weeks. If you think its going to 15 or 20, remember, there is a lot still to be redeemed. Not to mention more dilutive shares on the market in the future (Can anyone explain the details of all of the recent financing deals?)

This will be a traders stock for a while so hold on for a ride...

Mo

Thom Calandra of CBS MarketWatch first broke this story 2 weeks ago in his Stock Watch column, when the stock was below 6.

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Most analysts and the traditionalÿ press expect little from hobbled database developer Informix's upcoming profit report.

Yet one Wall Street investor close to the company says Informix will report at least an operating profit and maybe even a net gain for its fourth quarter. The company will unveil its numbers around Feb. 11.
