Best place to go if you want to get Covid or some other infectious disease is your friendly neighbourhood hospital.

I agree with that

So many hospital “horror” stories circulating. Many are probably true. Many are undoubtedly manufactured.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was in our “friendly neighbourhood hospital” for an elective oral day procedure. The whole process went like clockwork and I did not catch Covid. Nurses were busy but not busy enough to neglect patients from what I could see. They even patiently catered to a couple of rather annoying people.

I also had a recent somewhat different experience in another hospital. A terminally ill friend of mine was admitted. He requested a stop to further life saving procedures. Not only did hospital staff accept his decision without arguments but they did everything humanly possible to make it as “easy” as possible.

In both cases I went back to these hospitals with boxes of top of the line chocolates as a small thank you. The response I got leads me to believe that not many people do this.

I'm not a nurse, I;m 80 and retired. I had reactions to both of my first two shots, in March 2021 and Sept 2021. No way am I getting any boosters.
