My socialism is quite precise and limited..

  • UBI (Universal Basic Income).. NO THIS FARE, THAT FARE, WELFARE, unemployment insurance old age pension etc etc etc.. Enough for a roof and food...
  • Universal healthcare including prescribed meds and dental
  • quality public ed ... free but once in university/college/trade school you need marks to keep status ... and public ed would be much more thorough... Longer days.. no homework required.. second wave of Teaching assistant to specialise in helping kids complete 'homework' .. some parents will go further.. but all kids get an even start.. and a much more though phys ed curricula

If these basics are not enough to make it well you might be someone that takes the UBI as welfare

Life will never be equal... there are always going to be those that have more or started with more.. but no one needs to fall through teh cracks.. My kids will have vastly more when I pass than I had at the assumed age.. yet now are on their own.. Is it fair that they will inherit.. sure.. I worked hard... My parents worked hard

Think of how simple government programs would be.. so little waste.. ONE program !!!!

But capitalism needed to fund it.. Communism is beyond misguided... it seeks to gather all wealth to a minuscule few... worse than capitalism gone awry...
