All growing economies have hiccups, no doubt. It was a matter of time until China would run into something serious. And yes, I read that they import enormous amounts of food. But, their economy is cranking along. They’ve been trying to export more to Asia.

Their exports to the US in 2021 were $577 Billion - which made up 18% of their total exports. The 2nd on the list, interestingly, is Hong Kong.
