That's not to say I don't enjoy the personal and political consequences of $2 cheaper gas.
The $2 discount is applied to the price per barrel of oil, not per gallon of gas.

Besides, I thought you wanted to see more expensive gas at the pump.

Then you can drive by the gas station in your EV (assuming you have one) and laugh at the climate-changing neanderthals having to pay through the nose.
