Wharfie, I just saw that article less than a minute before I saw your post.

Of course, the media is sensationalizing the story, thanks in no small part due to Elon Musk and his antics.

Specifically, the law that is in question here isn't going to apply until the middle of next year.

So this isn't something that Twitter was complying with until Musk took over, because it didn't apply before then.

But it is something that I'm sure will take more effort than what the handful of "extremely dedicated engineers" (a.k.a. engineers who can't easily leave, maybe because of H1-B visa issues) left at Twitter could handle.

EU warns Musk that Twitter faces ban over content moderation

I would be thoroughly pleased and amused if Musk told the EU to "go fuck itself".

It's nice to finally see a tech billionaire with cojones. Long overdue..
