BayView: In late December/early January institutional holdings were about 57%, if I remember correctly. I posted then that I was concerned that there was not much upside because I saw an upside limit of about 60-65%. Also thought the stock was vulnerable to herd mentality if institutions turned negative.

Your posting showing a 73% holding is startling. My concerns are heightened.

On the positive side - since 20% is new investment, we can reasonably expect that it will stay around for one quarter, and then another quarter if the earnings news is good.

The danger is that a lot of the new money is very short-term momentum play.

Do you remember an earlier posting when someone cited an analyst on CNCB to the effect that BAY had no sponsorship? If sponsorship is a reason to invest 73% institutional sponsorship makes it a screaming buy.
