I assume you are referring to my "personal experiment" and ministry experience many moons ago...no siree...God is my witness...never asked, or begged, or pleaded, nor hinted...only relied on God...the "raises" came as a result of initiative of others...I suppose I shouldn't have brought it up. Only trying to make a point...it is the principle of giving that is important. No pleas for money That is the point. God and God only supplies our need...not man or woman...nor institutions...nor churches...In fact, it totally turns me off to see preachers, tv ministries, etc. asking and using gimmicks to get money. And I love those dear brothers...Billy Graham is the most balanced of the bunch in this arena. Jesus and the widows mite shows the proper perspective of the giving principle. She was a real committed giver...not for show...obviously they could not "run" the temple program off of her "mite", but like the loaves and fishes...God got the maximum "mileage" from her offering.
