Stuff Boyz wanna do... For decades I've had a theory that these Boyz have missed childhood development milestones. USA like the Great and Glorious British Empire enjoyed a few generations of Virtuous Victorian Values which propelled them to great. Thomas Cole did series of paintings, one of which was the steps in civilisation rise and fall. Knowing the process and avoiding the end seems to be beyond new generations. Try explaining Virtuous Victorian Values to a Millennial or even worse a Cyberspace cyberphone deranged 15 year old = good luck with that. Both China and USA are doing what generals do = preparing to fight the last war. And it's not just the generals. The big trend that your garden variety megalomaniac misses is the Christian ideology of peer to peer mutual synergy based on VVV. We're not much interested in Dear Leaders and Nationalistic fervour and even less so jungle-rules racial genocidal conquest with Big Man Emperor Pooh Xi Chinese Goose-Stepping Characteristics. Unfortunately there are no bars between us and the various varieties of developmental milestone deficiencies combined with actual genetic deficiencies and bad ideas. So we have jihad, feminazis, Big Men, racial glory, empire, Judaism, Catholicism, communism, whatnot, competing for temporal power. USA is fading fast with VVV treated as a joke. But even as they fade, they think they have full spectrum dominance in everything. And repeat "China has copied our wondrous military technology but is too dumb to do great new stuff". It's possible that's true. Having a high national average IQ is quite different fom having a low national average IQ but a very smart top 20% and more importantly a supersonic top 0.000001% who have all the right stuff. Such as Albert Einstein, Irwin Jacobs, Andrew Viterbi, Elon Musk, Irwin Schroedinger, Milton Friedman, Ayn Rand ... etc etc etc I prefer We the People to stuff the Boyz wanna do. We're winning.... slowly, over hundreds of years ... I remain fascinated by the frog-marching removal of Hu Jintao. Especially the little quick steps he was taking that were visible in the last seconds of his removal. Live by the sword....
