Like I said, many currents, he's just some old guy who had to twist in knots to fund the whole thing in the first place, my guess. Unlikely that he got out of bed one morning in '83 and started a movement. While I don't agree with getting involved with such things as a business, reality intrudes. Anyway, my point was that a large company over a wide geography is always going to have problems when they try to navigate social issues. The guy probably puts some money into his compliance department, folks with degrees in compliance, something I never heard of as a kid.
