To acknowledge what needs to be done brings out the army of corrupt leaders willing to stop it without firing a shot. They placed a robot in charge after blatantly giving the middle finger to 75 million voters.

Natural resources, yes. But the most important natural resource are young people. For some reason, the big bucks and the most excitement among our young are in playing computer games and such fantasy life stuff — while our educational system is failing them, to put it mildly. One of my granddaughters, a very bright kid with a curious mind, likes to learn things. One of her teachers sounded concerned that all the girl wanted to read were non-fiction books. She would like her to be more interested in fiction. And that’s in one of the better schools.

And… we will need to compete with other countries - especially if we expect to lead. And even if we weren’t interested in leading (which we are) - we still don’t want to be left behind.
