I don't know how much longer it will take but it seems to be years if not decades. With children being raised in a "guns are my right" culture in much of the country, I really don't think it will ever change. They seem to become more entrenched with each tragedy. I will never forget hearing "what's going to protect us from a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun." Everyone thinks they're a good guy so that kind of nonsensical logic is going to prevail. I agree - that, my friend, is very very sad.
