Yep, that's how negotiation works. Just like in every meeting around the world through history when there are two distinct sides brought to the discussion.

You love to focus on Apple when these same things are true of Android and Google/Alphabet. Google's duplicitous nature is evident right there in the two different stock symbols (GOOG and GOOGL) and names for the company itself. When you know the history of why those facts are true, you'll see my point.

I'm not sure how much Google tests anything before release either, they use their customers as the beta testers and always have.

You like their products because they're far cheaper for you, I get that. In my opinion you're also biased for that reason as well and continually angry for the changes they make in macOS that adds to the learning curve and time away from what you like to do and everyone else does too, use them to get work done or create things. Apple is just continuing to do what they always have -- charge more money for better designed and constructed hardware and software, in general.

You've kept arguing Windows has been getting better or closer to macOS in usability, or that you may switch to a flavor of Linux down the road. So do it! Test one or both in a VM and find out how you like them. I'd bet you'll find pretty quickly the amount of time you'll spend learning each OS, managing and configuring them while keeping up with security updates far exceeds your patience level for doing so.

As for Riven, those stories are anecdotal. You can find the same for any new technology. Show me some stats of 1,000 users of Rivan vehicles from random sampling as used in good statistical modeling that show the same love of their vehicle and I'll pay more attention. It's just advertising right now... or propaganda, really, if you've ever seen They Live from John Carpenter (released in 1988) and took its message to heart.

I know you've at least seen it. :-)
