how nice, i didn't know that there are dollar stores in the EU...guess that makes them euro stores? good for china!

did you watch the roof construction? weeks of construction, multiple layers, water tight...sure was a vast improvement on the existing stone roof which was supported by felled trees....imagine that....no insurance needed, but i think the 100 year warranty ran out.....pretty sure it was brought up during sale negotiations and discount covered the cost of the skylight installed, labor not included

those italians are pretty strict on their permitting process, especially on heritage structures, no siree, no metal or asphalt on these gems....UNLESS it is considered a ruin....don't quote me, but i think those can be razed,,,YET it seems there is a good market for italian ruins! oh and they take their sweet ole' time as well....just ask martijn

and don't let the howling wolves fool ya...he has neighbors, and when the snow isn't dumping like mad, you can actually see the town below, right from the deck servicing the tent....the town's twinkling lights are quite reassuring, and just in case he runs out of eggs or milk, you (well maybe no *you*, and most certainly not me) can even hike there! it's the trek back up the mountain that'll get you... but somehow he manages

martijn also has a cycling youtube channel...rode from vancouver to patagonia, and not to leave the eastern hemisphere left wanting, rode from the netherlands to myanmar

remarkably, he seemed to muddle his way through those hairbrained endeavors to the delight of millions ....i'm guessing that 'luck' is somehow with him

lastly....he reads all the comments, and as he said, the best university on the planet...he gets expert advice from craftsmen/women, engineers, etc....doesn't cost him a dime....and unlike some here among us, knows better than to look a gift horse in the mouth

:)
