A couple of months ago a well respected analyst rated 4 out of the top Canadian banks as sell b/c he believes the recession will be hard on them. I don't see why the US regional banks should do better. China reopening is an interesting twist. On one hand it could resolve supply chain problems and inject some liquidity into the global markets. On the other hand it may send the price of oil and base metals higher and reverse the inflation trend. To expect the goldilocks is to bet that then coin will land on its edge rather than heads or tails.
