Sapiens Awarded $2.5 Million Project by the Israeli Ministry Of Labor And Social Affairs

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israeli Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has retained Sapiens International Corporation N.V. (Nasdaq: SPNSF - news) to develop, integrate and maintain a system for the Ministry's Manpower Training and Development Bureau. The project is valued at $2.5 million and will take two years to complete.

The Ministry of Labor retained Sapiens to present it with state-of-the-art solutions to better deal with the challenge of unemployment in Israel. Sapiens will provide a mission-critical system of national importance, comprising applications for professional and vocational training, certifications, examinations, and management of tenders, among others, as part of this solution.

The system, which will be based on SAPIENS ObjectPool development environment and SAPIENS Workstation, will have Internet and intranet connectivity and will be portable across platforms and operating systems.

''This system is a very important tool in the Ministry's efforts to tackle unemployment, one of Israel's most important national goals,'' said Mr. Yona Clipper, Director of Information Systems and Data Processing Division.
