Pocotrader,
the thing that makes a big différance IMO is Ukraine soldiers are fighting for their country and freedom. Russian soldiers are forced to fight for pootin
Right, but I expected Ukrainian losses to be lower than that of RuZZia. Thus far, the only estimate of Ukrainian losses comes from the U.S., and they are assuming that losses are "probably similar."

If true, I attribute that to the war being asymmetric. RuZZia is waging a full-scale war with no rules of engagement. Even the use of nukes is within the realm of possibility.

Ukraine, on the other hand, is not allowed to engage RuZZian targets on RuZZian soil. They don't have the cruise missiles, the Iranian drones, or the massive amount of artillery that RuZZia is bearing down upon the Ukrainian defenders.

The only "equalizer" in this case is material assistance from NATO, which is massive but still not nearly at levels that Ukraine is asking for.

One more thing to consider. RuZZia has a better navy and a better air force, despite both of them being unexpectedly inept. That imbalance still factors into RuZZia's advantages over Ukraine.

The quantity IS the quality, and PooTin will spare nothing in order to "win" his splendid little war of choice.
