Office is backward compatible and not much changes. Most of the "upgrades" are just auto updating engines and macros in Excel.
Access is just GUI SQL so nothing changes in it either. Word and PowerPoint who cares? How many fonts do you really need?
I think I only ran into a problem one time ever where I had to re-save something that I had started on Office 95 or 98 and save it in the 2000 version because a new formula I had put in that linked data from numerous spreadsheets wouldn't work right.
